Hey matt! Every chapter increases battler level cap by 5 and base level cap by 2!
I heavily advise upgrading Trowel Battler to level 10 to get his alt Builder Battler! He builds walls six times his base health but at the cost of the wall taking 1.5 seconds to build one layer of wall. Reaching it's full potential at 6 seconds.
Another thing to know: Uber Rares are very expensive, in order to fully max out (currently, since the cap is currently 25) a single one is 420,000 XP. This also applies to Lil' Units which are obtained when beating a chapter on 3 stars!
Edit: In my experience, upgrading and focusing on one thing at a time is the best approach (From my experience)
Glad to see you playing this game Matt, it really deserves more attention!

hey matt, i don't think anyone has ever told you this (since every comment i see talks about units, which is not a bad thing) but there are TYPES OF CANNONS AND BANKS. i will just tell you which cannons and which banks are good for which things:
DEFAULT CANNON -- not used so much, deals mid area damage, good if there's a lot of weak enemies in one spot
DEFAULT BANK -- not used so much either, i suppose it's good if you don't have units that cost a lot
GATLING CANNON -- actually really good cannon! SORT OF a boss killer, since it's incredible single target damage, it's also good cleanup if there's a lot of enemies that have low health and are spammed a lot
POWERHOUSE BANK -- also incredible bank, it's used if you don't want a lot of units but want a lot of money, it increases money output but decreases unit recharge, so you can't get as much units
SLAMMER CANNON -- this thing is a GODSEND. it's incredible area damage, it gives higher base health, however, the cannon does not have global range, but it's area damage makes up for it, really good cannon but it's bad in some situations, it's good when you save up money to upgrade the bank early, so you can just use the cannon while spamming some meatshields so you just don't lose
INVESTMENT BANK -- best late game bank EVER. it doesn't make that much money in early game, but it has 4 extra levels that make this thing so overpowered that i don't even know at this point. very bad for speedrunning, but probably the best bank for late game
TREASURE CANNON -- does not deal damage, however it gives you money if you use the cannon. it also increases the bounty for all enemies on screen, which make them give more money upon killing them, good when you have a lot of money shortages
IGNITION BANK -- kind of like investment, but not for late game. gives you less money, but when you upgrade it then it temporarily makes your units faster. good for speedrunning
ABSORBER CANNON -- spawns a temporary shield, very similar, if not, the same as iron wall cannon from the battle cats, it's good when you don't focus on meatsheilds as much and focus on long range damage more
DETONATOR BANK -- this bank makes it so there's limited time for a match. there's a one minute timer that if drops to 0, literally kills you. you can make the match longer by upgrading the bank, since it resets the timer, but makes the timer go faster. also good for speedrunning
RECOIL CANNON -- good cannon for boss stages. the thing that this cannon does is it knockbacks and temporarily stuns enemies, but the thing about this cannon is that it can knockback bosses as well, but it doesn't deal a lot of damage. literally. this thing deals ALMOST NO DAMAGE.
this took wayyy too long to write i swear

Something that I've noticed a lot is Matt not upgrading his bank even when he has maximum units and maximum money.
If you're reading this Matt, PLEASE upgrade your bank whenever you are in situations like this, or during early game. Bank level ups are key to success in 90% of stages, unless you're using something like Powerhouse or Detonator, which are two other banks.

From this point on you have 3 choices, you can go straight into chapter 2, explore the sub chapters, or try to complete 2 star chapter 1, stars increase unit cost and enemy levels (they get more health and damage) and if you want to know what completing all the stars do, look in the badges section, you get some pretty cool units

MATT.
2 things about beating chapters are that there are star difficulties you unlock them by beating the chapter. After beating the chapter for the first time you unlock 2 stars. After 2 star there is 3 stars, but after beating 3 stars you unlock a new unit which is the final boss as a smaller, weaker, form. This form is meant to be more balanced.
Second the sub-chapters actually give a reward after you beat it such as a new unit or a new bank except for the first one but don't give a different reward in tumored mode.

Hi Matt. I have tips gor you since I played this game a lot.
1. Get Krip. Hes in the Special Category and costs 100 or 150 bricks. He has Anti-Red which is good for chapter 2, but also he has INSANE DPS/FIRERATE!! Really Recommend using his normal or alt form, both are good.
2. You should Upgrade your Regen/Titan to their alt form since both of their alt forms make them EXTREMELY good for later stages.
3. If You beat a chapter on 1 star for the first time, your unit upgrade level cap will increase by 5 and base level upgrades will increase by 2
(Chapter 1: Lvl 15 Units & Lvl 12 Base)
(Chapter 2: Lvl 20 Units & Lvl 14 Base)
(Chapter 3: Lvl 25 Units & Lvl 16 Base)
4. Do Subchapters for a bit of xp but also bricks if you want/need to. Most of them are really easy anyways
Hopefully this will help you! Love your content 🔥

Hey Matt! Love your content!
here's few things you need to do before doing 2 star Chapter 1 or Chapter 2. also, these are things i do first before going to ch 2
1. You must maxxed out your base and units to lvl 15, as it doesnt seem crucial. IT IS, since enemies will be more tougher to kill and will destroy your battlers and base.
2. It is highly NOT recommended to do tumore mode (as looking at your playstyle and levels) since tumore mode gives the enemies their alt form.
3. DO NOT GAMBLE YET - As you need those bricks to buy crucial special units such as grenade battler, hammer battler, etc.
4. If you need a grinding strat, here's mine Afk grinding strat. -Max your speed battler to lvl 10 or 15, to get its alt form, dual speed battler. Then, place it in Slot 6, then do the stage "Hammers and swords" and use the autoclicker on dual speed battler. As after victory, the autoclicker will click on the retry. (Also, make sure you have max base economy and starting cash)

Hey mat nice video I got some tips that helped me a TON while playing
1st try to get telamon (Titan alt) for it is really powerful it has more hp and has an ability to regen but trades it's attack speed (A titan can attack twice in 1 telamon attack)
2nd Dual speed coil Dual speed coil is a good staple for my composition as it trades speed for health and damage when he attacks he does knockback allowing you you push back enemies that are wayyy to far
3rd Banhammer battler (Alt form of hammer) Has aoe and armor allowing you to tank enemy ranged target's Here's some money to support you

Very epic you beaten Chapter 1! Here's more tips I got.
1. Unit Level: Every chapter you beat, the unit level cap increases by 5 and the base lvl cap by 2. So, for chapter 1 the max lvl cap is 15. But if you beat Chapter 2 it goes up to 20. This will keep going till Chapter 7 which is maxxed lvl at lvl 45.
2. Stars: Stars are like difficulties, 1 star being easy where all unit price and enemy strength is at the lowest while higher stars increase the unit price and enemy strength. The maximum difficulty is 3 stars where enemies are 2x stronger while the unit price is 2x more expensive.
3. Lil-units: Every chapter you 300% complete [beaten all 30 stages at 1-3 stars], it rewards you a lil-unit (mini version of the final boss) So for chapter 1, if you complete it at 3 stars you unlock Lil Doombringer. [You can claim them at the badges section, beside the almanac icon]
4. Enemy Strength: aka Maginification or mag displays how powerful the enemy is on the stage's info For example if a stage has a strength maginification of 200%, An enemy with 50 BASE hp will have 100 hp instead.
5. Anti traits: All units with an anti-trait will deal 25% more dmg to that specific trait, it also takes 25% less dmg from the specific trait.
6. Red Trait: Enemies with the Red trait will have higher base hp, They also have a special ability in which they gain a permanent dmg boost upon reaching half hp. Also when red enemies reach half hp, they will spawn a small red explosion that has a BASE damage of 20 to nearby units.
