It always amazes me how music can be so versatile.
The original version gave me the impression and has that vibe where the singer is the one wearing the pants in the relationship. As in she gets to decide everything from the label of their relationship down to the feelings and whether or not to call the shots.
A whole new arrangement after, here we are. Taking the whole song in a 180 degree turn.
With this version, it seemed like she was almost begging. How she doesn’t care if his heart is owned by someone, she just needs to ‘feel’ him, and be allowed to love him even if it means hiding it from everyone. She’ll take every chance she can get just to be with him no matter how hidden it may be.
This is how I felt it and yours may entirely be different than mine and that’s okay. After all, music is suppose to make us feel a lot of things, isn’t it?
