The first working version of the Polar Express presented for the first time at Brickenburg RLUG's winter exhibition 2019 in Cluj Napoca.
The locomotive wheels are rotated by the main rods which are moved by LEGO(R) pneumatic cylinders on each side and the cylinder pushing or pulling direction are changed by LEGO(R) air switches, switched by the feedback rods driven by the "fly crank rod". the air pressure is generated by LEGO(R) in the locomotive's tender. The creation is still under construction and development.
The locomotive is modeled after the Pere Marquette Railway, Berkshire 1-2-2-5 steam engine, which still operates for tourist excursions in Owosso, Michigan. The movie "The Polar Express", based on the book with the same title, was also inspired by the same steam engine.
