Find out EXACTLY how accurate your relative pitch is on a scale from in 0 to 20. Anyone can take it! You don’t need to have perfect pitch to take this test. This test only involves your ability to recognize and memorize different pitch changes in a short melody.

IMPORTANT: If this test was VALUABLE and FUN for you, I dare you to challenge your friends on your social media and see what score THEY get! :) As of right now, it seems that the whole planet wants to take this viral test. Should we challenge famous singers such as Adele, Ed Sheeran or Billie Eilish? Let's start a petition here. 😀Also, I have a 2nd TEST that tests your ear in a different way. It is also perfect for practicing and sharpening your ear!

Well I can't believe it I got 19/20. I definitely had to close my eyes to feel and remember the notes. I love this. I'm a 71 yr old woman picking up an instrument after a lifetime of experiences. I played piano as a child for a few years and loved it. Thank you for doing these exercises.

Am I really the only one here that thinks this is not just a test of pitch but of memory as well? If a sequence of notes is harmonious, the mind can remember the notes together and recall it as a single song.. however many of those note combinations were not harmonious so I found myself trying to remember each one in part, and after a day of work having to keep 5 notes in mind is not that easy.. I got 16/20 but I bet I would have gotten all of them right if the note combinations would have been harmonious. I'd bet that even with more than 5 notes, for something nice sounding I would have gotten it correctly.

11 right. I have to say though, it's not that I wouldn't HEAR it, I have just problems remembering the note sequences. (I'm 56 - and it doesn't get better ;) )

I love this! I got 16/20. It helped to close my eyes as the questions got harder, and a couple of them I was really close, only missing it by one note. My dad had perfect pitch, and I always thought I was tone deaf, but I guess not. Thanks for this :)

14/20 which I think is pretty good considering I’ve never played any instrument or have any musical experience!

First time I scored 12 and first one missed was 4. I took twice. Second time was 14 and first one missed was 12. I enjoyed taking the test. I remember taking some type of musical test in about the fourth grade. The result? “Don’t bother trying to be a musician!” I still enjoy most types of music. Thank you for creating and sharing!

I'm a non-musician, I got 18/20. I generally love listening to all types of music. This is a cool test!

Just the last 4 that tripped me up on this one! I self-taught guitar over 10 years ago, but haven’t touched it in the last 5ish years. I’ve been telling myself to get back to playing & learning, so maybe this is my sign to do it!

I just did the previous test ending with perfect pitch, which people have said about me but I didn't believe. Thanks to you, I believe it now! I'm looking forward to this one, too!

¡Very tough! 17/20. Except for when 1 was the different note, it kind of became a test for me of how well I recognized a change in the intervals, and where the first interval change happened.

This was so fun! I struggled with the last one but all others are correct. I've been singing in choirs for 8 years and we have all kinds of weird harmonies in the backing vocals, seems like it finally paid off in...well...scoring high on the test of a youtube video :D

Well, I'll put myself out there for the low-score folks :D I got 11/20 correct - and for 3 of those, I gave myself credit if I could identify "yes something changed" even where I couldn't identify which note it was. When I got things wrong it was mostly because I thought "those all sounded the same" with the exception of two: #12 and #20 I indicated the wrong note changed. I did struggle the most toward the end - like other folks mentioned, with trying to hold the 'memory' of the notes in my mind. If it were more of a melody, it might've been easier but I can't say that for certain. Thanks for this!

17/20 : Not so bad. Last one was a total puzzle for me. Thank you!

This was so fun! I got 20/20 ^^ I admit, I was struggling a bit towards the end, but it was doable for me. I thought that maybe I don't understand music all that much, but this helped a little.
