About 35 years ago, I watched the snowman on german television when I was a child. I watched it for some years in a row until it wasn't aired anymore and I've grown older. I forgot the movie. When I was 26 I saw it again by chance on television. I cried instantly. I bought the DVD and watch it on every christmas morning since then. I am 40 now!

I'm Norwegian, but half English, and once my father showed me this and told me it was a christmas tradition in England I kept rewatching it every year, and it's really become a part of my tradition. While it's not on in Norway I take the liberty to go onto YouTube and cast it to the tv for my Norwegian family to join in with as well.
