Out of all the settings guides that are out there, I've found yours to be the best for manual mode. It's amazing how little attention VFR gets. It's an absolutely critical detail.

Have you tried like709 the manual talks about setting a knee value to prevent over exposure
When [Photo Style] is set to [Like709], you can adjust the knee so that recording can be performed with minimal overexposure.
[AUTO]
Adjusts the compression levels of high-luminance areas automatically.
[MANUAL]
You can set the luminance where compression starts (knee master point) and the intensity of compression (knee master slope).
Press character_upcharacter_down to select an item and then press character_leftcharacter_right to adjust.
[POINT]: Master knee point
[SLOPE]: Master knee slope
bullet02Rotate image_front-dial_s to adjust the knee master point, and image_rear-dial_s to adjust the knee master slope.
bullet02Values within the following ranges can be set:
– Master knee point: 80.0 to 107.0
– Master knee slope: 0 to 99

Hey Ryan thank you so much for all you Inspirational Videos!!!:) automatically when I select the system frequency 24.00Hz (cinema) I no longer have access to the ss/gain function or dynamic range, it cannot be selected but only in 50Hz Pal mode did I miss something?much greets from germany

Setting to 24hz removes some 30/60 options. My time-line is 24 but I usually shoot in 30 just in case I need to slow something down just a tad. Is this bad practice? I really wish there was a true open gate 48 mode

Does filming in true 24fps ever mess with audio sync issues or does audio drift go hand and hand with 23.976? Ever have any issues with 24fps over 23.976?
Why shoot vfr instead high frame rates in the rec quality?

Thank you for your really helpful videos and your beautiful video recordings.
Now I have a question about your render settings.
If you are filming in 5.7K, the aspect ratio is 17:9. Do you render these recordings in 4096 × 2160 pixels (DCI). Or do you put the timeline in the "classic size" 3840 × 2160 pixels and you cut away something on the left and right to make the video fit?

Thanks Ryan! Again on the 24 FPS: shooting videos in 24p when they are played 90 % of the time on monitors at 30 or 60 Hz just makes no sense to me. 30p is much better… as 60p and 120p. 24p in the analog era was chosen to save meters of rolls, lol

So I have considered using the 5.7k video but I'm torn between that being 420 (8bit)and just the C4K which is 422(10bit). More so if the end result is going to be 4k. On one hand you have a nice 5.7 which you squeeze into a nice 4k but 8bit VS C4K completely 10bit. Any thoughts?
