I read everything I could get written by A.S. when I was younger, formative writings. I wonder though, is this conversation too intellectual in seeking to understand some things that are more basic and simple than we think. I once, in front of a rather large class, asked an Anthropology Professor who was thoroughly condemning all things capitalist and that if he truly felt that way, why was he using a leather Gucci satchel to carry his papers in.
Marx... we must first destroy all things before we can remake them... the sickness that these liberatzi are so infected with is arrogance and an assurity that they know what's best for everyone. Animal farm writ large. The lowers (those below the highest echelons of 'New Order' folks) mimic what they believe will get them nearer the trough. Department of State (DoS) is riddled with these folks... "we're the US Government and we're here to help"... as things exist now, such a statement should terrify people.

I have read all of Solzhenitsyn's books except his last book, Two Hundred Years Together which dealt with the history of Jewish/Russian relations. It has never found an English language publisher.

I will tell you a true story... My wife work for an organization and was in my view on of the best at what they did. The administrator called her in and told her "Don't do such a good job! You are making others look bad!" High quality did not matter enough to motivate others to do better.
