"Chant of the Primitivo Vine” features the 30-piece Taranto Magna Graecia Orchestra led by Ferdinando Arnò, and state-of-the-art equipment that capture the musical notes of grapes of the esteemed Primitivo vineyard, Masseria Le Fabriche. These sounds had been transformed into amplified sound that interweaved in real time with the orchestra. The result is a one-of-a-kind improvisatory performance that toasts to the many joys of wine, music, and nature. Welcome to a real-life realm once imaginatively described in Peter Tompkins' bestseller, The Secret Life of Plants.

In Chant of the Primitivo Vine, the orchestra dialogues with the rhythm, harmony, and melody made by the vineyard plants. The sounds and vibrations of the vines are captured and converted into an electrical signal which in turn are transformed into an acoustic signal. At first, the plants acknowledge the sounds emitted by the device are a consequence of their electric activity, and then they learn to modulate it to change the sounds, thus, interacting with humans in a unique union of creativity and communication.
