I want to say thank you. I know people might just see a Massive sphere, and U2. I see hope.
Id lost my family this year, everything. Id lost hope. I didnt see a future. Then I saw U2 was going to be playing from inside a Sphere ive dreamt of since 1993. It got me listening to u2 again. The feeling I had back then returned. If anyne ever questions if youre saints? Tell them its Rock N Roll. And, that a gentleman in Montana was given back his soul that was hidden in thier music. Thank you

U2 "WAR" was the first album I ever owned. 40 years later, I'm still a fan. What is so amazing about their music is each album speaks to the era in which it was created, and yet their music is absolutely timeless. Their songs still resonate 10, 20, 30 years later, whether it's "Pride", "October", "Where the Streets Have No Name", "Beautiful Day", "New Year's Day", etc. Few other bands have ever been able to do that.

Iām a life long U2 fan, and this is literally a dream come true for me. The ZOO TV tour has always been my favorite of all their tours. I canāt believe Iāll get to see it AGAIN! Itās like Iāll be 17 years old all over again. Anyone who knows what U2 shows are like, especially the ZOO TV tour, knows this is the perfect band (and perfect album to play) for the grand opening of this venue.

I once drove U2 to one of their shows. It was one of their first headlining gigs. I had seen them in Dublin a year or two before they came to Providence to play Brown University. I was one of the people who ran the Concert Agency. When I picked them up and told them I had just spent some time going to school in Ireland, Bono said, "Why would you go to Ireland? It's feckin' desperate." We had a good laugh. Did I mention the show at Brown that night in early 1982 was in a venue that held 400, standing room patrons. 400 patrons. You can have Vegas unless Bono wants me to come out and reminisce. He can bring my Irish friend, Gareth Averil, with him. I can remember vividly being in that room with U2 and 399 other blessed souls. That was a concert.

U2 invented the B stage and were the first band to use visuals along with the audio during a live concert. Zoo TV was groundbreaking. Still my favorite live show of theirs next to U2 360. That was amazing too. They are taking it to the next level again. I will be at the Sphere October 21st. I can't wait!!

Look, U2 have a reputation for pretentiousness/cheesiness in a lot of circles, but I think most people truly do not understand or appreciate what a groundbreaking live act they are. Almost every tour they've ever done has pushed the boundaries of what is possible in live performance. They are among the most important acts in the history of music for that alone, and for them to be in their 60s and still innovating like this is astounding. This is going to be wild.

I saw the Zoo TV tour on my 21st birthday. That tour changed the gameā nobody had ever experienced an immersive audio + visual concert production like it before. 30 years later, they're gonna change the game again with this residency at the Sphere, and I will DEFINITELY be catching a few shows there!

The fact that the construction team gets lifetime admission to shows makes you realize just how much they are respected and honored! I can't wait to see this open up!
