I was very surprised with this album not to mention the iconic deluxe edition??? Overnight I went from not knowing who she is to being a full stan and this deluxe just made me love her even more. You know an artist released a good album when immidiately after it you think to yourself "Can't wait to hear her next one". She truly deserved the recognition she got for it.

As an almost 10 years long Carpenter, I'm glad people are finally recognizing her talent.
Especially because this is the first album of hers where she's opening up and writing honestly.
All of her previous albums are wonderful, but I feel like she's letting us into her heart and mind with this one. Taylor must be incredibly proud of her oldest daughter ❤

The lyric “so y’all are in Paris now, guess it’s public” reminds me of Sabrina’s song Paris from Singular Act I. It’s like Paris was her place since she has a song about it and now someone else is there so it’s not her own private place anymore.

I love that last line as well because it almost sums up the album. "I waste my time on things you'll never say to me" on the album titled "emails I can't send". It's like not only are people not telling her what she wants to hear but she is also suppressing the things that she wants to say. Just... wow!!!

Looking at how she released these after the album, and the vibe of songs, they all felt like they were saying "I am no longer burdened by this, but I do still think about it." Like we're over it, but it still has a place in my heart, but I can finally say it without being crippled. And I just love that because it resonates so much with so many people.

I've noticed She has a sort of 60/70s sound with a modern twist. It gives some of her songs that almost retro modern feel that I love.

I love how she opened the album with things that she wants to say but can’t (emails i cant send) and ends it with all the things she wishes somebody would say to her!!
