âI guess for me, This Is What You Wanted, itâs quite an ambiguous track, but that for me, itâs quite a simple thing. Itâs a song about not blaming other people for your own mistakes. Iâm kind of talking to myself in this song. Iâve done that since Song To Say Goodbye, you know, from time to time, so Iâm kind of having a dialogue with myself and I suppose what Iâm saying to myself is just, you canât blame other people for your choices, this is what you wanted.â â Brian Molko
