The zombie segment is so sad. I can't imagine what he was thinking. To not be able to respond to the one he loves and to be half conscious through it all. VHS is so good.

I think the police siren and lights were just a lure by the aliens to get the kids out. Showing how truly clever. And you know they're truly evil for how they hurt Tank. To me this is my favorite segment of V/H/S 2

As for the segment with the aliens, I always took it that they were pretending to be the police to build some false sense of security when they were searching for the people. Also this is easily the best one in the franchise.

My favorite in this one has to be the zombie short! The fact that the guy was actually conscious enough to make himself stop ( you know what I mean) made the twist really sad, but also interesting. I can't really find the words to describe why.

I always liked the idea that the aliens intentionally replicated the sound of a police car to toy with the kids and give them false hope so that they calm down, making them easier to catch

VHS2 is the best in the series, in my opinion. So many memorable parts; the Zombie POV, Safe Haven, and the dog's POV stuck with me. Tank's whimpers broke my heart; I couldn't stand the poor thing suffering at the end.

Imagine if this movie came out some years before it did, and it was on a VHS. Imagine how much you’d be shitting yourself if thirteen year old you figured out the curse and then realized you just watched the guys on the actual vhs get killed, and that technically makes you part of the curse.

The buildup to the jumpscare in the first segment where he turns around and the ghost is right in front of him is so good.

Man I love that cult thing segment of the movie. It was scary, brutal, but also fast paced. Would actually love or pay to see a full blown movie about that part only.

The alien segment was my favorite because of how agressive they are compared to other alien abduction films. No torture of any kind, they just took them. The entire abduction lasted minutes

You know, the zombie short is actually somewhat facinating if you consider that is what most zombies/walkers would experience until brain death. The virus, assuming you werent already dead for awhile and just sprang up, would slowly let your body die as your brain would slowly fade away, leaving parts of your personality to fade until you are a mindless mass of the horde.
