I cried so hard during this scene. Really hit me hard as an adult. We often try to find meaning in life in big things like money, big house, or career but the truth is, life's just a bigger part made from smaller things and sometimes we forget about that and we become lost as an adult.

This scene is so damn powerful. It took me a long time to understand the whole message of this movie but this scene right here jo is so focused on trying to get into his body to play at the jazz club but when his goal isnt what he thought it would be he is dissapointed and this scene were he thinks about the little things and truley thinks about his life to that goal. The messaging in this film is to not think about the point of living and just live. Its a beautiful message and this scene is just man this is why soul is a top 3 pixar movie for me because it makes you think it makes you feel inspired and can give you a new point of view of life. When your going into this movie you get an idea that Joe is right because what he wants is very relatable. but after watching the entire movie and going back and watching it again you can really see how unenlightened and overly passionate Joe really was. His quote on quote dream served no purpose besides satisfying his insecurities due to his anxiety, depression and flawed logic on the meaning of life. This is one of a few reasons why Joe was the perfect mentor for 22. when you think about it the only way some one as stubborn as her could fully understand life was from someone who had trouble understanding it himself.

I hate my father, so the flashbacks of joe playing piano with his dad being happy and having fun completely broke me. This kind of movies makes you reflect on your own life, Im so grateful Soul exists.

I love this song. I have loved Disney my whole life. I have loved Trent Reznor since his PHM album and I like Atticus Rossâs music too. But combining Disney and Trent was the best thing EVER!!! Thank you for the magic that is this!!
