Jefferson Airplane's diamonds performed at Woodstock, on 17th August 1969 .

"Somebody to Love", written by Darby Slick and "White rabbit", written by Grace Slick.

Jefferson Airplane's performance of these two songs is included in a film called "Woodstock:The Director's Cut" by Michael Wadleigh.

"Good mornin',people!"

Really digging: Jack's outfit and groovy headbanging, Spencer's hat and badass drumming, Marty's voice, sideburns and tambourine, Jorma's playing and crazy hair, Paul's headband and vocals (well on other songs 😛) and Grace's eyes, barefootness (lol) and mostly her unbelievably amazing voice.

Love Jefferson Airplane's spirit.

Go ride the music people and enjoy!

Edit: I have posted the lyrics in the subtitles area. I think it's helpful! Enjoy everyone!

After a night of heavy rain and Orange Sunshine, Sunday morning I found myself sitting in a car with a Canadian Girl I met at Woodstock. Then on that “new day” the sky brightened and the Rocking music of Jefferson Airplane filled the air. We couldn’t see them, but their music rolled across the Woodstock hills. I’m an old man now, but I remember Jefferson Airplane playing with so much energy on that Sunday Morning, a long time ago.

When I first heard "White Rabbit" in '67, I knew I was listening to the best song I was going to hear in my life. I was so right.

My daughter is a singer songwriter, she has a powerful voice too. When she was young, people would say "who taught Natalie to sing ?" And I would always say...Grace Slick. As she would spend hours singing along to these amazing songs.

I’m the only person alive in the US in the 60’ss who wasn’t at Woodstock (apparently), but I still had a crush on Grace and loved this music.

This was Sunday morning. We woke up and to this day I can still see Gracie Slick silhouetted against a rising sun. And I can still hear, in my head, her say "Good morning people." It was an amazing concert, but that's all it was for most of us. Hours later, as my friend and I were leaving, card board boxes were being tossed from the stage-inside were Woodstock Concert programs. People were just stepping over them and many of programs settled into the mud and wet earth. I picked up two fairly clean ones and handed one to my friend and said: "Here, take this, I have ah feeling that they may be worth something one day." He shrugged, and took one. Who knew? Yes. I still have one of those programs. And my friend? Yes. He too has his. In fact, on the Woodstock Two album, if you open it up, on the left hand side, the kid on the fence, with the hat on, reaching for the bottle of champagne is that friend. His first name is Paul. What a time it was.

Saw The Jefferson Airplane in Hawaii at the Honolulu International Center during the early 1970's where they performed an excellent concert. Grace announced at the concert that they would perform a free concert at the Waikiki Shell the next day. I remember it well and it was just as good as the paid concert where they performed the nite before. Those were the days. I appreciate their kindness to this very day.
