Freestyle Swimming | Learn how to swim freestyle with the best swimming drills. These swimming exercises will improve your freestyle swimming technique and make you swim more efficiently. Freestyle swimming is a crawl synonym and is basically the same as front crawl swim.

First of all it is important to cover how to swim freestyle in general and what you should focus on. Freestyle swimming technique and the freestyle swim stroke can be hard to crack!

To swim freestyle with the correct technique and good speed, there are a few key things to keep in mind. First, make sure you're keeping your body streamlined in the water, with your head facing down and your legs kicking in a steady, even rhythm.

As you move your arms through the water, it's important to keep them straight and close to your body, using your shoulders to power all your swimming strokes. Great breathing in freestyle swimming will keep your body oxygenated and energized. Remember to breathe regularly, inhaling on one side and exhaling on the other.

In this video, Emma will give you her 5 best freestyle swimming drills to improve your freestyle technique:
1. Finger trail drill (narrow recovery phase)
2. Doggy paddle (underwater phase of crawl stroke)
3. Torpedo drill (body position and leg technique)
4. The superman drill (outstretched body position)
5. Tow float (improve core strength and focus on the arms movement)

By practicing these drills regularly, you'll be able to build your strength and endurance in the water, improving your overall swimming performance. Give it your all in every swimming stroke and you will become great - we believe in you!

i use those drills regularly and i particularly like the finger tip drag. it not only keeps your profile slim but the smoothness and quietness of the stroke results in a smooth , relaxed freestyle. and of course it emphasizes a hogh elbow.
