My mother passed oct 21 2021, my best friend committed suicide Nov 13th 2021, Nov 19th my boyfriend broke up with me for the 2nd time. March 28th 2021 we had to put down our 10 1/2 year old pit bull boxer mix, Molly. April 25th 2020 had to put down our horse, Jewel. On top of life's daily bullshit struggles....I've been dealing with these thoughts n feelings since 5 years old, I'm 32. As a chosen one and transitioning into thriver phase of narcissist abuse.
Apparently it’s a common c-ptsd symptom to storytime on the traumas that one has survived.
I know that it’s prolly not the healthiest to live in the past… but it’s also healing.and helps the victim release those trapped emotions..
I’ve heard that a tip in order to shift storytime into a positive rather then a negative reoccurring triggering memory. is to shift the story into finding the things you have learned from the situation and adding that part to remind yourself you survived what you have for a reason. Which doesn’t have to be a negative thing ciz you are able to take something from it. Or use your pain to help validate other ppls traumas Which in turn helps other ppl heal.. all in all it’s healing if rather then damaging of you find a positive in it. While also releasing those negative emotions…
