i dont know if that's already a official information, but from what i saw in the game it looks like its a different island, because we dont have the airplane takedown thing anymore and since in the previous ending he uses it should still be activated. i could be wrong

So far sons of the forest leaves nothing to question. It holds up to the previous game wonderfully, Building feels much better, Combat feels better, This is exactly what we need if you're into this type of horror survival game.
