Read this if you're a skinny dude: Trust me from experience, it will work. Just thought I'd add some detail on top of what you said for those skinny guys trying put on muscle: 1. Training: You should work out each muscle group at least twice a week for fast results, when I started I exercised 6 times a week (still do) and growth came fast. Train ALL muscle groups to avoid imbalances and allow your body to work together well in all exercises. 2.Nutrition: Eat QUALITY foods, don't just eat everything, I did that and was always surprised why I didn't put on weight, once I started eating quality, nutritious food, gains came fast. IMPORTANT: DO NOT base your progress on the numbers on the scale, some days you might be heavier than other days (especially if you don't have a set diet plan and set meals). You also might be gaining muscle but losing excess fat, and you will maintain weight(that was the case for me). 3. Rest: 48hours rest should be enough to work a certain muscle group, if you're sore, do some stretches and only work out if you feel better.
