3,652 Day Journey of How a Terrarium Changed My Life

I had no idea when I began sharing my art on YouTube, that I'd still be doing it 10 years later (3,652 days) while inspiring others in the process. It more or less all started with a humble vivarium, then to terrariums, and the rest is history. It's been quite a journey and this recap really only scratches the surface of what happened. Inevitably a lot of material had to be removed to maintain a concise presentation. Thank you for 10 years!

If it wasn't clear enough in the video, I'm extremely humbled by your support. Your kind words and interactions have especially encouraged me over the years. I've seen the comments and talked to many of you in person about it. I just wanted to share my art. What I never expected was how my art could inspire so many. It's really more than I can ask for. Thank you SerpaSquad for 10 years! Here's to the next 10 and beyond. I'm only just getting started and can't wait to show you what I've been working on.

What I love about Tanner’s channel is at the center of his love for the craft is his love for the animals that live in the worlds he creates. Can’t wait to watch for many more years :)

This channel feels so safe and welcoming. It’s one of the only channels I’ve found where it doesn’t seem like that animals and plants are just products to sell or display. Your love for this art form is contagious, and I seriously enjoy making terrariums as a hobby now :)))

Your channel and you have been my inspiration for several years. I am an avid gardener and animal keeper. I am a retired librarian, farmer, teacher and parent. I also am challenged by depression. I am approaching 80 and as my stamina and strength decline due to aging I have found terrariums to be my direction in gardening. Thank you for sharing your gifts, vision and taught us your skills. May you prosper and thrive with God’s blessings.

Hey . I'm writing from Kenya. Found your channel at my lowest moment in 2021. It was an ASMR video and I ended up watching the whole night. I still watch every week , never had the energy to make my own. Just wanted to say thank you. I don't feel so low anymore. Congratulations on the journey

I've only been along for the ride for the past couple years, but it's safe to say your content is some of my favourite on youtube. You have this fantastic way of presenting everything, and your passion for what you do is very apparent. You just come across as very genuine. No forced jokes, just information given in such a calm, humble, wonderful manner. Thank you Tanner for all the work you're continuing to do! Here's to the next 10 years!

You’re not a mere creator. You’re a muse. You’re a teacher. You’re a coach. You’re a facilitator. You’re a steward. You’re a friend to many seeking purpose beyond the material trappings of modern life. And that’s not an overstatement - inspiring people to connect with nature in ways that fulfill our souls is meaningful. You have planted a seed that has grown beyond anything you can probably appreciate. Congrats on an amazing 10…

I swear I'm not crying, happy tears all over myself. But really man, you've helped me, and I'm sure so many others with giving some direction, just by doing what you love and that's truly an amazing feat. I've always struggled in life my self with my upbringing, autism, and mental health issues. But this channel has given me an outlet. A reason to go to work and try my hardest. Thank you, Tanner. This video was an unexpected yet very pleasant look into your life, and inspiration. For as long as you make these videos, I'll be watching and showing people your channel. ❤

I'm a full grown man and i swear i literally CRY at the wedding's terrarium watering. You are both so pure and passionate, incarning what humanity has as beauty. You are whitout doubt a real artist and even more because your art piece are living being and you want them even more living as they thrive. You literally create life itself.

Your firebelly toad enclosures are my personal faves. Devoting that much to such an underrated species that for the longest time were considered 6 dollar throwaway pet store animals was and is still such an inspiration.

“I’m not crying, you’re crying.” lol. Tanner, you gave me so much to think about. I’ve followed your channel since well before your wedding, and I think before you bought your first home. You’ve been such a blessing and joy to watch, spend time with, and learn from. Take that vacation, my friend. You’ve earned it. I can’t wait to see how your channel grows in the future.

This video hit me where I live. I am completely in the same place you mention at the beginning, stuck in a hole of not knowing what to do or where to go, and I'm in my early 50's so it doesn't bode well. I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard and courage to keep going. I only found your channel last year after inheriting my son's 7 year old crested gecko and needing to do research on it providing the best care for her. We love her so much and she is just so intelligent and personable. Although our tank setup is nothing like the wonderous creations you have made, it is inspired by what you have done and is fully bio-active which she seems to love. The down side (according to my husband) is my new obsession with a tank fully dedicated to my growing isopods.😂

Not every video has to be a spectacular project that takes up a lot of time and resources. I subscribed to your channel after seeing the original native terrarium video. Those small approachable projects are super interesting to watch, it attracts new people to the hobby and would probably free up your time to focus on the larger projects you want to do.

I've dealt with depression for as long as I can remember as well. I can say your videos bring a smile. You sure know how to show the true beauty in your craft.

One of my favourite channels for sure, the passion tanner has for his craft and his animals is amazing. This channel is only going to grow bigger, and do you know what, the guy deserves it all, an insprational keeper of animals to be looked up to.
