Thanks Karl for sharing your travels. I have experienced similar “issues” when I went exploring in northwestern Sri Lanka; the local police insisting that I needed to be escorted despite I didn’t cause any problems nor experienced any problems from locals. More importantly, I enjoy being amongst the locals and just like yourself, simply having a cuppa and chatting. Safe travels always.

Brother! You surprised me with the fact you know about Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Props to you my guy. I pray one day Waheguru ji will allow me to go there some day as well. Truly, you don't cease to amaze me. While it's been a while since I last saw a video of yours; I just HAD to see this one. Love from the US and the Sikh community.

As an electrician in North America, it always amazes me how their architecture isn't built with the advent of current electricity. I understand money is a large issue. But the fact that they have 13.8kV less than 8ft overhead with no insulators or braces crossing over, thru, and around buildings and each other without constant fires is insane. Let alone the obvious lack of grounding that's common everywhere else.
Still a beautiful place even if they aren't electrically inclined :) great video as always Karl. Stay safe!

My family is from Guyana which has about a 60%/40%, Indian/Black ratio; Indian food such as dhal, curry and roti, and other dishes were part of the staple cooked by my parents.
Haven't had dhal for years now since I moved away from home many years ago and parents are now passed; tugged at my heart seeing you eat in that restaurant.

You have experienced something I never have had the pleasure of: going to visit a place where you are a novelty, an attraction. You've got to have an incredible love in your heart, a loving confidence, to get out there and greet people as you do. What a kindness.
The best I can do is, in my home town, greet visitors and newcomers with kindness, especially those not 100% fluent in the local language.
