The thing I appreciated the most about Guardians 3 was that they actually let us feel our emotions. So many movies these days will undercut any kind of sad or scary scenes with a stupid joke and ruins the moment.

The sad part for me in the movie is that in Spanish, the word "cielo" means both "sky" and "heaven", which makes the gut punch where Lyla says "The sky (cielo) is really beautiful" a lot harder

The reason Groot talked in English at the end was to show that we, the audience, have been with the guardians this long, that we too have learned his language and understand him like family. Never for once did i ever imagine that a superhero movie would stir so much emotions and make me cry but GOTG vol.3 managed to pull it off. this is one of the best superhero movies ever made, everything about it is perfectly written.
