He was suspected of robbing houses in the area. Those robberies included a gun that was stolen.
The police went through the neighborhood showing his picture looking for him and warning people to be on the lookout.
Two people saw him and followed him and had a shotgun. They were going to hold him for the police. They called them when they were in pursuit
When they ran up on Arbury he went for their gun and they fought over it. That is when he hot shot.
