My review of Pitbulls new album Globalization

Overall: 2.5/5

Pitbull is back and we know about Pitbull there is nothing is subtle about him. He's all about glitz and glamour and all about being Mr. World Wide and I mean how many times can he use that Mr. World Wide in all his songs? And it's the same case here he uses it on many of the songs and has many shout outs and you know The album features a pretty great variety of different artists from Chris Brown to Ne-Yo to Sean Paul as well as a bunch of others. There's basically a guest vocalist on every one of these songs. It does lend to a good variety of tempos and styles. But lets talk about one of the better songs off the album. So Chris Brown is on a song called Fun and I personally hate Chris Brown I can't believe this guy has gotten a second chance after beating up Rihanna. And then he has a tattoo on his neck and it doesn't seem like he hasn't really learned his lesson, it seems he still has anger issues. In spite of those things he still writes catchy songs and I hate that about him. Fun is a pretty straight forward dance song. It's got some latin beats and instrumentation in the background but overall it's one of the better songs off the album. And there's even stuff for kids as well. So if you have younger kids there are songs that are probably going to appeal to them and one of which is the song from the movie Penguins of Madagascar. It's called Celebrate. You know It looks like Pitbull is branching out to appeal to kids as well.

And then lets talk about the really bad songs off this album. Songs like Sexy beaches and day drinking are probably the worst songs off the album. Lyrically they are just really bad. Sexy beaches would be a good song if Pitbull wasn't singing or rapping on the song. They have a female vocalist and it's really good and Pitbull comes out of nowhere and says the line sexy beaches and hotels. And it's just really hard to take the song seriously. And Day Drinking is easily the worst song off the album.

And then another really poor song off the album is Drive Me Crazy. It's just completely rulned by Jason Derulo's stuttering vocals. Another song is this is not a drill sounds like a complete snoozefest and lacks the energy that the first half of the album has. The first half of the album is pretty solid it's just that the next half or last half is just not the best. But overall I like the first half of the album better just for me the second half of the album fell apart and it just grew really tired and familiar. I give this album a 2.5/5. Thanks for watching guys and don't forget to hit the subscribe button. Thanks

Despite being a die-hard Pitbull fan, I 100% agree with your review. Well spoken.

Even though I think that you're right in many ways, I gotta disagree with your attitude a little, anyway. The reason for my response is quite simple: you claim that many songs of this album'd sound better if Pitbull weren't a part of them - that's what I simply need to decline since you also need to take a look at Pitbull today. He hasn't made any new albums for more than 3 years, which is extremely frustrating due to his break he took to relax again from entertaining people and I think it's quite obvious that he's changed his behavior a lot. If you'd compare Pitbull today with his look and his attitude from maybe 2014 for example, you'll immediately notice that he isn't really Pitbull from the past anymore, even though he's actually still Pitbull. What I wanna explain is that you should listen to his latest song called 'Can't Stop Us Now" featuring Zac Brown. In this song, he explains that he hasn't been 'public' for a very long time. In addition, he tries to predict that he's still the same person, which is a weird thing about the song (at least in my opinion). You say that you don't like Day Drinking and Sexy Beaches and you say that the second part that may contain around six or seven songs of the album is worse than the first part with seven songs, too. I mean, alright. Everyone's got his own opinion and I don't wanna change your mind or the way you think about songs by Pitbull in general. Nevertheless, I'd claim that Globalization is still one of the best albums Pitbull's ever made in the past. If I would compare it to Libertad or a similar album, I would definitely say that I feel way better when I'm listening to the album Globalization, because it's simply got the vibe and the energy with feelings that don't wanna be stopped. If you would ask me for my favorite albums, I would give you a little overview of them: 1. Planet Pit 2. Global Warming (incl. Meltdown) 3. Globalization 4. Climate Change 5. Rebelution
