Finally a more accurate story than most Gacha ED stories, like lmao all the stories I find on here are just like- abusive parents and severe bullying, followed by randomly fainting and probably death. This one is sm better! I suffered from an ED and I was never bullied and my parents are amazing, these things can truly happen to anyone. ❤️💜🙌

I felt like I needed to copy and paste my response to another comment here. I won’t be editing it, so I apologize for the lack of context. However, i wanted to leave the wording exactly how it was because that was exactly how I meant it. Thank you, and please read this whole thing before commenting about how anorexia doesn’t work like how I portrayed it. As someone who suffers from anorexia, I’d just like to state that it’s different for everyone. I have stated that the ending of this series was extremely rushed and I’ve been planning on making one that better depicts it. However, I made this less intense because my audience is primarily young and although I use my channel to spread information about mental health, I want to find a balance between appropriate to explain in detail and not. Again, I’ll be working on another, more realistic, anorexia series. While you wait for it to come out, here are a few things I have learnt about eating disorders through out my journey that might be able to help you when you talk to people who suffer. Everyone’s eating disorder is different. No matter if it’s anorexia, bulimia, BED, or EDNOS. Every anorexic person has a different experience and a different journey. When you tell a sufferer that their experience “isn’t how it works,” it can cause severe damage. They could result to adapting even more dangerous coping mechanisms or making their unhealthy eating worse. As an anorexic girl who is able to stomach food and has been trying to recover, your comment severely sent me into a spiral for a while, even though I’m fully aware that this was not your intention. I do not hold that against you. You may have noticed the mistake of lowering Kayla’s lowest weight by 2. That’s because I based the character Kayla off of myself, hence her name being Kayla and mine being Makayla. I made my character weigh more than I did because not only was I still struggling severely, but I also was at a point where I tried to hide my eating disorder from everyone. I didn’t want to put a real weight for me in there, but it happened anyways. Anorexia and other eating disorders are commonly linked with anxiety and depression. Sometimes EDs can be linked with PTSD. I struggle with all of these. Some other people who have EDs only have one or two, and some even have none. Again, everyone’s experience is different. Some people can recover fairly quick. For others it can take years upon years. However, recovery is ALWAYS a permanent state. You always have to focus on eating enough, but not allow yourself to make it back into an obsession. I hope that this helped you understand that not only is everyone’s experience different and unique, but also that I try to make my videos appropriate for the you get viewers. That’s why I didn’t go into full detail about the true struggle of recovering from anorexia for the majority of those suffering.
