If someone is not crossing the road because there is a red light, even if there is absolutly no traffic around, that person is German lol. Watch us stand and wait even at night in the middle of nowhere.

I'm English and I have to say whenever I find myself on a long haul flight I like being next to an American as I know they will chat which helps to pass the time and of course you get to know someone new.

Talking about social classes is the most British thing on here. I was quite surprised, how important this is and how huge the behavioural differences are. British people are also some of the messiest drunk people in the world, if not THE messiest, probably because they keep it all in during the week.

I’m German and I recognize someone is German as soon as I see them wearing socks in sandals.

6:50 LOL The British guy said "unnecessary" small talk lol. That is exactly the difference right there. I think it is necessary to connect with people and be friendly lol! (American here)

It's so true what Christina said, haha. I used to work at a hotel and, on average, Americans were the friendliest guests of all! Most were very talkative and sweet.

The stereotypes of Americans annoy me , but I get it. Christina put it best, Americans typically are more open in terms of small talk. I’m not sure how it developed, but I see that as just being friendly. I think Americans have a more customer service type mindset and that is how the small talk developed

How I can find other Americans (men) wherever I travel: look at their pants. Europeans and most people around the world prefer tighter fitting, slim pants. Americans have a distinct fitting for pants, particularly jeans. It's a roomier fit.
