I personally find Uldarash's cultural achievement and longevity to be more impressive than Ashai's extended territory. By the time Ashai came to haven, many of its cultural leaders had grown tired and inactive in their age. And those who were not demoralized by that were instead demoralized by the coming End Times.
It's very easy to say "Ashai was Uldarash + even more", and in some very important ways that was true, but I personally feel Uldarash had a better narrative.

This reminds me of why the Roman Empire lasted so long meanwhile the Macedonian Empire fell after Alexander's death.
The Crownlands grew slow and steadily which allowed them to last a very long time, meanwhile Empires like the Uraki were more quick and brutal which is why it fell apart after Neo retired.

This is the most interesting comment section I’ve ever seen here. I love your guys’s takes and analyses of the empires and conflicts. Also jsyk- this list was only based on empire territorial size. This is by no means the top 5 favorite or “best” states on SW. Thanks 👍
