Stephen King's short stories are the best!!! I grew up reading them. I love how he writes, no nonsense, to the point and his characters always talk like regular people. King wrote a book on writing called, "Writing, a memoir of the craft" . It's amazing and puts Strunks writing book to shame.

i met Stephen King at a book signing in Houston in 1987. i told him, "Mr. King, i came here to shake your hand and tell you i think you're great!" he stood up and picked me up in a bear hug and swung me around. he was great.
