This is analog horror at its best, weirdness with just enough believability, actual good voice work, and no sudden silence and cheap jumpscares. The same thing that makes Thalasin and Local58 good.

Even with all that, I'd still buy one.

Even though they usually get less views than parodies, I love the original stuff even more

1:30 "Is someone speaking? Where is my family?" gave me chills after I noticed it

the part that scares and confuses me is how this machine knowingly has a function to expel the ashes but doesn't give you a bag for the chute? It's like they WANT you to get floor debris in your ashes

I kept telling myself "You will get scared and won't be able to sleep, don't watch this late at night." and look where I am now!! Good video!! :D

"Don't take our word for it! Here's a satisfied customer!" "My old goldfish may not be dead anymore, but my Thanatophobia sure is! Thanks, Spectrephone! šŸ˜‰šŸ‘"

Can we talk about how this means that even without the spectrephone, people with damaged souls (which can be as easy to achieve as putting some rocks in their ashes) live in the inescapable void of the afterlife in utter agony while trapped eternally in their bodies?

I love how it's mostly pretty tame up until 3:16 where this ungodly eldritch horror shows up on your screen. And even then it maintains its comedic edge: "What on Earth could you have done to make it so terribly upset?" Great stuff

i like how in this universe they essentially found a way to escape death and they pretty much sell it to the public for the same price as a tv

My friends and I can't stop laughing at the sound effects and timing. Great comedy parody.

0:21 the ability to keep me horrified and yet still make me genuinely laugh is a trait only xploshi has, there are other horror pieces Iā€™ve seen that have something silly that makes me laugh, but xploshi can work in that bit of humor to goad me into a false sense of security, the wario and donkey Kong videos also come to mind. Here I am thinking itā€™s gonna be a funny, and then Iā€™m dragged down into a concept thatā€™s super terrifying to me, itā€™s a concept Iā€™ve seen a few times, and yet xploshi can put a new twist to it that still manages to make my skin crawl, a nagging horror, like a deep body ache rather than a quick stab of pain, in just 4 minutes.

Xploshi is the kind of person who listens to ā€œEverywhere at the end of timeā€ for fun

Firstly. I love the new 1970s intro. Secondly, you have done a wonderful job making this, I love this kind of horror. Taking something that people would wish they could do and making it into the a product that could be from the 1970s. It sends chills down my spine. Maybe it's the fact that we are talking to dead people's SOULS, plus I like how its said that the connection is severed. Finally, I love that this whole thing is like an ad from the United Kingdom. Also, dear god I dont want to have a COLLAPSE EVENT.

Probably one of the BEST analog horror entries yet! I love how it keeps going without the usual strange silent ā€œinterruptionsā€ and treats everything happening as if itā€™s a natural and normal occurrence.

3:19 the ghost looks like he JUST noticed who the other person was. ā€œAlright, who dared to awaken me from my- OH GOD DAMNIT, SUSAN? REALLY? OF COURSE ITS YOU, SUSAN.ā€
