I am almost embarrassed to admit that this made me tear me up a little bit š„²I was OBSESSED with Barbie's as a little girl and had multiple sets of furniture for every conceivable room in a house (and multiple dream houses). I never really "played" but I built my own houses and furniture, hand sewed my own Barbie clothes, and created a Barbie universe. I grew up to be a Furniture Designer and dress maker....who would have thunk it š

I feel like this movie is the very definition of a passion project. You can tell how much Greta and the cast and crew want it to be authentic and grounded in everything Barbie is. They care about what they're doing and it shows. I'm so excited to see it!

Literally have tears of nostalgia, rolling down my face. Barbie was everyone's first friend, and Margot literally has captured her perfectly. Greta did such an amazing job. I AM IN LOVE.

This set looks ethereal because itās completely handmade and painted, yes weāre technologically advanced but the authenticity and intricacy that comes with hand paint is unmatched. So many amazing artists being a part of this. This should be a case study for set/production design, fine art universities . Hats off to the entire team!!

I really appreciate how fake just everything looks. Like with, Skipperās treehouse literally looks like it was made out of plastic. there is so much fairness in everything, itās hilarious and awesome
