This song takes me back to my youth when I left school in 2002. Reflecting on those days, I battled chronic depression and anxiety, often confined to my home due to the fear of encountering threatening gangs. Despite my apprehension about the world, I realise I found happiness in my solitary existence. Perhaps my comfort in solitude stems from those early years of isolation, although I did yearn for companionship.
It's astonishing how we evolve and mature. I've transformed from the fearful boy I once was and, while I still avoid conflicts, I no longer dread the vast world. Yet, I remain someone who appreciates solitude.
I do have a girlfriend, but I also wish for a friend who shares my interests. In summary, I'm proud of my personal growth, and I achieved it independently. 😁
