This may sound like a weird complaint but I feel it bleeds into 343 as a whole. I find it super weird that 343 tends to make simple things like patches sound like a corporate marketing scheme. They literally branded game patches and small additions as "Drop Pods."
It somehow makes a simple thing that every live game does sound corporate and like a big PR move. Which I feel kind of often is what seems to a big factor behind so many decisions. It's like this "look over here at our shiny new thing" sort of tactic. A way to sell "innovation" while nothing is really happening. I could genuinely see if we get playable elites if they'll market it to us as this all new wonderful awesome feature never before seen.
"Want to color you armor, look at these new Armor Coatings." "Player customization? We've got Armor Cores" "ADS or Scopes on a gun, its actually a "Smart Scope." "You want vehicles to take damage and be dynamic, well here is the all new Doomstate"

18:18 This is exactly what I was hoping the academy would be before launch, a sort of hub area we can explore, use to customize our spartan, weapons and vehicles in real time, talk to npc's to get a bit of world building, learn what's going on currently in the timeline outside of Zeta Halo. You could even do cool events there, like have a character show up during a season they're related too and give the player challanges and the like. Essentially just make it like the hub area in Destiny but with a halo skin and more to do.

Honestly, seeing how as a studio 343 has struggled to even keep up with what Bungie started 20 years ago really shows how much talent Bungie had, I am not saying 343 doesn't have talent but let's be realistic, 343 is just not capable of doing a third of what bungie did in half the time.
We all know Halo 2 was a development hell in every point of view, unhealthy devs working worse because of it, cut features, some bugs, etc. And by no means I am defending crunch, that is an abomination in my opinion and I don't wish the same fate for the people at 343... but let's look at this: Halo CE released in 2001, Halo 2 2004, Halo 3 2007 and Halo reach 2010, Literally Bungie was able to ship a complete game in an extremely polished state and with bigger packages of content in comparison with the previous game every 3 years while also enhancing and changing their engine everytime... LIKE WTF??? Bungie was trully the Golden Goose, and by bungie I am talking about their people not the name of the Company... Dude like literally not a single AAA release now at days can keep up with that level of quality on day one, because remember that in those days patches were something that didn't exists.... but infinite took double the time of what bungie used to make a complete game with a Forth of the content that used to be at launch while also being monetized AF with color white at 20 dollars...
Honestly I have a lot of admiration of the OG Bungie team (Not the current one tbh) they were truly one of a million, I would love to see the OG bungie in our current times developing Halo 2 but without crunch and with the amount of time and support that microsoft now gives to their studios.... man that would've been amazing, I really miss those days
I hope the best to the people at 343, but for them as a company? I am sorry but they lied just as much as bethesda did with all of their games and multiple times, Halo 5, Halo MCC and now infinite, I was fooled once and will no longer do the same sadly in the future, I won't pre order ever again a game and won't spend a single dime on the Halo Infinite store. Probably Halo infinite will be "complete" in 3-4 years, so the live service literally wasted 4 years of the 10 year potential plan that the game could've been on .... fixing the game....

Bro I genuinely feel like I'm being gaslit by 343i at this point. I wish I understood why things are taking so long...I get that development is hard, I need to know that because I'm planning to be a developer, but it feels like they're not telling me something and they are saying nice words to keep me from leaving. It's like an abusive relationship. I love Halo, I constantly criticize games for being unfinished and having bad business practices, Infinite has those same problems yet I like Halo so much and the general gameplay so much that I can't leave, and idk if thats wrong. I'm never buying anything from that store tho...unfinished game with a store is kinda insulting.

I think it would be cool if the academy was something you go to every now and then when you level up your rank, (when a ranking system is added) the higher you rank the more bits of story and even cosmetics you can earn, like maybe when you reach captain you can train some marines or Spartans. that way they can make us care about the academy.

If the goal of the Tv show is to try to bring in a broader audience and make then want to play the games or read the books, they have failed.
I have a friend who has never had any interest in the halo universe, they recently watched the show and asked me if this is what halo was like, to wich i had to respond that 90% of what is shown in the show is completely wrong and that the entire show itself is considered non cannon.
I then showed them the cut scenes for halo 2 anniversary to give them an understanding of what halo was really like.
they responded by proclaiming "holly shit that was fucking cool!" immediately followed by "why didn't they make the show like that?".
they went on to say that they hadn't really enjoyed the show at all for the most part and all it had done was solidify thir decision to never play the games, as it had looked like a "shit tier sci-fi show".
you dont need to change the Halo universe to try and bring in new fans, if they are someone who would enjoy the halo universe, then they would enjoy the halo universe, presenting them something wich bears little to no resemblance to the actual franchise only serves to confuse people.
If you have someone who legit likes the show and then hand them a controller for Halo ce, they are going to ask where is the universe they were promised from the tv series, instead of this wired thing wich bears no resemblance to what they watched?
What is true for hard core halo fans watching the show, will also be true for hard core tv series fans trying to get into the games.

I made a post in the feedback thread on reddit when the game got released, and I said basically that non-canon armor cores should remain exclusive, where as canon-cores could be cross-core. I think this would really be a compromise for those who want the art style between cores to remain consistent but also allows people to have more customization options.
The only things that should be cross-core at all times is the colors, and the visors, and maybe some attachments.
