I love how many things this scene establishes.
Otto's greed for "power" over nature, Harry's desperation to overcome his father's shadow, how the mechanical arms are revealed to also be capable of harm (striking Peter) and great defense (while his wife dies, Otto is unharmed by the shard glass), those little looks and expressions they have going from confidence to "wait" to "oh shit" as the experiment collapses without need for words, how Peter is the first to notice something's wrong before anybody, reinforcing to the viewer his role as the hero.
There's a ton of information given to the viewer without a single word.

The part which is truly heartbreaking and haunts me to this very day is that fact that Peter was knocked out seconds before Otto's wife Rosie was killed by the flying glass. Followed by the inhibitor chip on Otto's neck being destroyed by the artificial sun. Had Dr Octavius not let his ego get in the way, then Peter/Spidey could have saved Rosie in mere seconds. Otto prob realized his mistake too late when he saw Rosie's lifeless body. Can't really fault Rosie for not getting out of the building, though she could've done so.

3:02 I've always been impressed at how Raimi was able to make this brutal without any type of gore.

2:56 Her fate is so sad but the way they choreographed her death was absolutely beautiful. It was so well done. I love the Spiderman trilogy because they showed the severity of what was happening without making it gory.

I like how literally the first and only question an audience member has is “hey what if the AI goes crazy and makes you a murderous supervillain?”
