I’m not going to say I understand what she went through, but I have been in and out of hospitals for 5 years now. Having something wrong with you is scary and hard to deal with, I do know that. I just want to say that I’m glad she’s fine now. I really like this new song and I hope she makes more soon.

I think this song is an anthem for anyone who is outside of the norms or beauty standards based on physical things they can't control. I currently have severe eczema, and it's getting back to covering 30% of my body again. I feel like a monster sometimes, and the expense and stress are so unfortunate. I remember thinking I hope nobody else looks at themselves as poorly as I do sometimes.

This song hits hard because at the age of 13 I had to get a hysterectomy because all of the blood was backed up through my fallopian tubes into my ovaries. The “A constant reminder I was made wrong” line really describes how I felt and occasionally still feel. Thank you Mckenna for the awesomely relatable song!!!

Mckenna, I don't know if you're gonna see this, but I'm so freaking proud of you. It isn't always easy to talk about insecurities and you turn them into songs! Your music is a gift. I wanted to thank you because I constantly struggle with my body image and I have some problems with food. So, this song hits home for me. It makes me feel like I'm not alone. At the time I wrote this song, I was dealing with a lot of body issues from my scoliosis and was in a dark hole of comparing myself to other people on social media. I am putting the song out there so that other people can see that it doesn't matter how much you think you know someone or how amazing their life may look from the outside, they too can be carrying around these weighted emotions and personal struggles. And as with most songs I write, I hope that people know they aren't alone. I recorded this video in my room 3 weeks after having my spine surgery. I had been confined to the couch and my zero gravity chair and I was going crazy not getting to be creative. I also knew that there was no way I was far enough in my recovery to feel good enough to film a music video before this song came out. I filmed and edited it in a day and sent it to my music team and told them this was the music video : ) Hopefully you like it! As always, thank you for your support! XOXO Mckenna Grace
