I love the fact that her voice is so perfectly simple. You don’t need to be a great singer with all the adlibs and runs to show emotion or get to the listener. A simple yet beautiful voice and lyrics is much more relatable and that’s what I love about this song. Kudos to whoever wrote this song and Shannon Purser of course for having such a lovely voice 😊

I honestly didn't like the movie, but I really like this song. Like, you can hear her heart breaking towards the end of the song. The feelings, the raw emotions, the singing; this song was the only highlight of the film. Which is sad tbh.

I liked the song when the movie came out because I related to Sierra on being the bullied, "ugly" fat girl in school. A few years later, I was diagnosed with ASD, which cultural symbol is a sunflower. And I don't care about my looks anymore, but sometimes I feel like nobody could ever love me fully being a mentally ill person, and this song gave me a diferent meaning. I'm a sunflower, I wear a sunflower lanyard, and maybe if I was neurotypical I'd be loved more easily, but this sunflower is waiting, I still want to be loved, regardless
