This is why the Duffer brothers chose this song. It's perfect for Max and Billy Hargrove. If I only could make a deal with God and I'd get him to swap our places. Max felt guilty about Billys death and that she felt powerless to stop it and wanted to or thought about swap places with him, what if it was her. This is why Max withdrew away from Lucas and anyone she was close with so she didn't have to feel pain again or watch anyone she loved get hurt.

My cousin committed suicide nearly 10 years ago now. This was his favourite song and the song he had been listening to as he died and when he was found. It is always a difficult song to listen to, but this was an absolutely wonderful cover and i think he would have loved it. Thank you xx

this song reminds me of my friend. she goes through so much undeserved things. i feel horrible, watching her struggle. in a heartbeat i'd switch places with her so that she wouldn't feel pain. man, it's just hard to watch the people you know go down a sad road. i cried hearing this, you have a beautiful voice. just as beautiful as my friend.
