Explanation of the "shattered planets": Bingo comes from Earth, and the other one you see broken open is Venus, representing Bluey. They're "shattered" because the rock planets represent Chilli's eggs, and their kids came out of them. The reason Mercury, the first planet from the sun, is intact is because Chilli had a miscarriage prior to having Bluey. That's why Bluey is Venus (2nd child) and Bingo is Earth (3rd). It's also why the stuffed rabbit is represented by the moon; it's Earth's protector, always nearby to keep Earth safe. Chilli is the sun because she's the center of the family, and Bandit is Jupiter because he's a gas giant (and also another protector of the inner planets, AKA, kids).

"How is the dad not waking up from any of this, and yet the mum woke up from Bluey's piercing stare!?" welcome to parenthood.

Thereā€™s so much symbolism in this episode! Obviously you figured out that Chilli (the mom) is the sun, but then Bandit (the dad) is Jupiter, Bingo is Earth, and Bluey is Mars (you can see the Blueyā€™s cracked planet towards the beginning). Also the score thatā€™s playing throughout the episode is Jupiter from the orchestral suite The Planets

All those in favour of Matthew reacting to more Bluey, music or episodes, say "aye"!

This one always makes me sob because for me, my sun was my Dad and he passed away this year. And hearing the whole "I'll always be here for you even when you can't see me" 100% breaks me every time.

Bluey is such a wholesome thing to watch after all he's watched

Itā€™s funny how so many of the most poignant episodes of Bluey focus on Chilli. Sleepytime, Baby Race, Rain, Onesiesā€¦ I could go on. Something about Melanie Zanettiā€™s wry warmth as Chilli is so comforting and relatable without ever being cloying or stereotypically ā€œmommy.ā€

"It's Bluey. It's just a kid's show" we all thought that too, Matthew. You aren't the first to be bamboozled.

I saw the notification and immediately said to myself that Iā€™m going to cry during this šŸ˜. Iā€™m a childless millennial, but Bluey has become such a comforting and healing show for me. This episode especially hits the feels every time. Iā€™m ready to feel the feels along with you.

Hi, middle-aged dad with small kids here: I saw the title and started chuckling. You're never ready for the emotional gut-punches of Bluey. But it's so worthwhile.

the part with the bunny makes me sob every time lmao. Iā€™m autistic, and I grew up with a cat plushie that was basically my emotional support. She came with me everywhere. I lost her once for a few days and finding her again is genuinely a core memory just for the sheer relief and comfort. I was maybe 11 when she was stolen, and I never saw her again. And it may seem silly, but I still feel that absence. Every once in a while Iā€™ll still have a dream where I find her like that time when I was little. So yeah, this ep really hits close to home šŸ˜…

Fun fact: the last song you heard is called Jupiter part of ā€œThe planetsā€, the 7 symphonies written by Gustav Holst. Jupiter is my favorite one out of the seven. Itā€™s an absolutely gorgeous and emotional piece.

As a dad I resonate with Bandit here. I don't sleep much so when I do I am medically in a coma until it is time to wake up.

13:51 "Bluey" has a LOT of musical covers of classic composers, and this one is part of "Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity" from a multi-suite composition called "Hosts' Planets," where each planet in the Solar System gets a character, personality, and music to represent them. This musical piece, especially in this episode, brought me to tears.

I loved the episode camping, because I went to 15 different schools throughout public school. I love that Bluey focuses on emotional education šŸ˜„

Matthew: "Bluey is scarily cute! I don't know how to handle it!" Me: "No Matthew. You've just gotten used to scarily unhinged things that anything remotely sweet and normal is now what your brain perceives as terrifying"

The best thing about this series is that on its surface its a childrens show for kids. But it is also a show for the parent and guardians who are watching with their kids and soothing their adult's inner child as well. So it's nurturing and soothing at least 2 generations of kids.
