In this video I have a look at a customers 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage with 1200cc's of thunder! He has been battling this EVAP code for a long time now but none of the crappy aftermarket parts have stuck so he's throwing in the towel.
-Enjoy!

FOLLOW UP- The fella did call me about a week later after running a drive cycle and said now that EVAP system works it did flag a code for a small leak. Not sure if he fixed it himself at that point or what but he did not come back to me to see the job through. He did mention when he was working on it initially that he had a few mishaps underneath with some hoses or something like that. Any how just thought you guys should know. -Eric O.

This is going to sound goofy but I'm glad you've been doing the "hey there viewer's welcome back" intro lately it's such a trademark of SMA

I am a older person who doesn’t work on cars anymore and purge valves and all that stuff you were talking about I don’t understand at all. That said I sit and am throughly amazed at how you sit and explain the process of working towards the solution. Pure genius.

I went to Louisville, Ky. for an automotive swap meet wearing your shirt this past Saturday and a guy asked if I was Wyattoneable. He recognized me from the "Special Delivery" video. Thanks for making me famous. :) I hope you and the family are doing well.

I had a good laugh at the "I know we just met" at about 16 minutes when you had to blow on the hose. Informative and funny video. Thanks.

To all you DIY , I run a garden tractor, snow blower on site repair business. I know not everyone can diagnose. So I won’t yell at the parts cannon . BUT for crying out loud——-1part at a time. Then clear coat and see if that worked . if not at least if you find a new problem now and reverse before you get totally confused I love Eric in his involved explanations. as a non car mechanic I need some coaching on these computer systems

Ivan @ Pine Hollow just went down a rabbit hole chasing a misfire on a Subaru. Turns out customer put junk aftermarket coils in, that could not handle the voltage from the alternator while running. Unplugged the alt, and ran fine!

You just have to appreciate the level of understanding and experience that makes this fix work. Very few people can do what we just watched. In my book Eric is the GOAT.

Hi Eric, It doesn't seem to make any difference if you have ever seen this make, model ,year or whatever, you always fix them even when the trained dealer techs are stumped or just don't care! I think It is your diagnostic ability and procedures! I have been watching you for awhile now and you got this,period!!!:_BoyMech::_PartsCan::_Wrench:🏁

I started watching your videos to learn. I still find them a great source of info but now I'm in it as much for the humor.
