Dear listeners, for 4 years I've dedicated my life to making these rain-soaked, impressionist and sedative ambient songs. Inspired by, not just some of my favorite video games franchises (like Silent Hill, Forbidden Siren, Dark Souls and Bioshock), but the decaying urbanist landscapes of where I live in Rio de Janeiro.
I've painstakingly worked on this mix for a week, choosing the right tracks, working on the perfect crossfade between them, to be able create this one-hour seamless mix, one big musical suite. - Mount Shrine

Confession: I quit my job due to the stress of the pandemic in order to go to school full time. I'm sitting here now worrying about my financial future and my chance at being successful. Absolutely heart broken from the unfortunate tragedy of Cesar. I have listened to this exact video almost every day during work or night to help me sleep. Nothing puts me in such a feeling like every time I hear "Subtotem". Every time I hear "Exile" on this playlist, I was always grinning because I knew "Subtotem" was next in line. None - absolutely none of his work was mediocre. They were all unique masterpieces. What an inspiration. Mount Shrine forever. Rest in Peace, Cesar.

I vividly remember watching Cryo's "Songs for an Empty World" and becoming completely enraptured within seconds of hearing Cesar's "Subtotem" — the beginning of my obsession with ambient. I will be forever grateful to Cesar and to Cryo Chamber for what they have done for me. I will never forget it.

I only just learned of his passing when I listened to his music again today. I went to his YouTube channel and his bio really resonated with me.
