This episode made me cry in a good way. All these cultures coming together in love. I am Canadian and my husband is American. We live in Colorado and have been married now six years. I make a purely Manitoba, Canada Honey Dill sauce for him and my friends. Itās a part of home I miss and definitely not usual. My friends were like those ingredients donāt go together and now they love it. Itās great on chicken and fish or a dip for fries.

Okā¦ this video is GOLDā¦ nowā¦ as a fun challengeā¦ gather stories of people with incongruent food love storiesā¦ Let me explainā¦ When I started dating my now husband, we were hungry and decided to cook for him. Me being Puerto Rican I asked himā¦ Babeā¦ do you have rice? He replied oh yesā¦ in the pantry. Heās Argentinian so he has absolutely not idea what a blasphemy is to hand āboil in a bag riceā to a Puerto Rican. Beryl, I almost fainted! I sprinted to the grocery store defying the laws of physics (heās a scientist) because light speed not fast enough. I made an AMAZING arroz con pollo that made him so happy he asked me to move in with him. Fast forward 18 years later, the magical arroz con pollo is always a common staple in my home.

I just want to say I absolutely love your channel. I found you during covid, I think recommended off of a Tasting History with Max Miller video (also found during covid haha) and have been addicted. I love the idea behind it, and this video feels like an awesome evolution of what you've been doing. Girl, Food Network or the Cooking Channel need to pick you up ASAP!!
