Information about Flying to Mexico in 2023 and everything you need to know. This is my journey from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to Cancun in Mexico located on the Yucatan Peninsula. When you go to Mexico you get a tourist visa as you land and don't have to do anything in advance. Usually you get 180 days and you can come straight in to the country without any paperwork or delayed applications. They give you a form to fill out and then you are ready to go through immigration.

"No visa is required for this destination for a stay of up to 180 days. Please keep in mind that while a visa is not required, you must: Hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond your date of country exit and with one blank visa page. Hold proof of onward and return flights."

They did not ask me for a proof of onward travel when I went through the immigration. They actually did not ask me anything and just gave me 180 days right away. I noticed that some officers asked more questions than other when I head people next to me. They asked them questions like what will you do here? Where will you stay? What is your job?
