First time hearing this one. He just mentioned on his Philly interview that this is one of his favorites on the album. I had to come listen. It’s different from most of his stuff. Last few days he’s been putting out a lot. This guy is remarkable! Love him.

Lyrically speaking, this is Bensons best written song on this album. Talking about about him fearful of loosing someone special to him, that is so human of him because we go through this when it comes to falling in love. We are fearful of a lot of things in our life, we fear the fear of unknown, like death. But when we have this love interest in our life, that connection is just pure and soulful, that your biggest fear that languishes throughout its moments is the thought of losing that person. it’s hard to think of it, we don’t want to think of it, but we do because we don’t want to lose something so special. But it all goes back to the fear of the unknown in the end. Somtimes no matter when we detach from fear, it comes back in moments like that.
