This is such an amazing animation, dude! Since I wasn't in your class for experimental animation this summer, might as well treat this like a class critique. ;) Where do I start with this? The particle effects were very nicely composed and fit each part, or change, of the video pretty well. The colour flow was really fluid, especially in the hair (I could tell you've used quite a few masks for this). I liked the use of the fragments you took from your drawings, especially at the end where they blew away. I liked the animation of the girl you had standing and sitting on top of the moon. I also enjoyed the aurora/northern light-like effects and some of the particles that flew by. Now on to some of the things that I think could make this animation better: I noticed that you only had a single shot for the entire duration of the video. I would try using some angles, close-ups, and pans to add to the action. A lot of films and short films use a wide variety of angle shots. I think using these could help you explore with the angle perceptions on the girl. Speaking of her, I think you should also add some smoother animation to the hair and maybe add a little more detail to the character itself. I also think the moon could have used some more detail as well. But, seriously, this has to be one of my favourite animations from you. I really like the style and it shows so much potential and dedication you've put toward this project. It makes me regret not being in that class a bit, but I was in Europe and all that, so it wasn't an easy choice, either. ^^; I would have been very interested in seeing your project proposal and bits and pieces of your progress on the computer. I've also learned a bit from this animation since you've used some of the Adobe stuff, especially the things you can do with After Effects. Seriously, dude, keep up the good work. You are an amazing content creator. :D
