It's said that history needs to be written by the losers. So readers can know how the losers felt & viewed the events upon them.
Winners need to write their side, too. Both sides need to be written, not as propaganda. The truth lies somewhere in between.
The conflicts we have in the 21st century were sown 300 or more years before. It's about real estate, ethnicity, and religion.
