I'm glad to hear that they plan on reducing the scope of the next installment. One of the main problems of the last one was that it felt like they were trying to go through a checklist of dinosaurs without giving any of them actual time to develop. If we compare with the original JP film, the plot mainly focused on the Trex and the raptors with the dilo, trike, and gallimimus having supporting roles.
The other thing that the movie needs is to return to suspense and dinosaurs actually being dangerous. They shouldn't be afraid of killing off a main character. Please no more plot armor for anyone.

Can I just say, I love how just genuinely positive you are about this and the franchise as a whole. I am really tired of the constant cynicism and negativity online about big franchises. It’s just nice to have someone who is generally optimistic and actually likes the films and when you are showcasing a negative opinion it’s done in a calmer way.

Heres my thoughts on the franchise as a whole.
The first one is a masterpiece. Simple as that. The second one is awesome. It may be my personal favorite. The third was meh. Dont hate it nor love it.
I loved Jurassic World. And I personally liked the second Jurassic World one. Forget the name. And Dominion was meh. I liked some stuff, but as a whole, meh. But at the end of the day, I've not hated anything. So I'm hyped about anything new.
