The subtle change from the original lyrics in the verses is so interesting, because it takes the Character who's perspective this is in (vague to avoid spoilers) to be less Passive and Offering and more Demanding. It goes from like "people tend to be sensitive to the new ways" to "dont worry about the new ways" and it gives such a subtle but distinct shift. I'm picky about lyrics being changed but I feel like this change didnt really change quality. Like I cant complain bc even tho its different, its Just as Good

If you just read the lyrics you'd think that this is a very uplifting song. But when combined with the actual song and context. It honestly gives a feeling of defeat and just sorrow.
