I really hope things get better from here onwards for us community server owners. It's been a real nightmare running a server for this game, we've persevered for our community and for their enjoyment, but behind the scenes has been pretty nightmare material. Great video though!

The original reason I bought the Isle years back was because of you Anth. Shit happens, and it isn't your fault. You're not the developer, there's no mods, so the blame isn't yours. Things break and it's BAFFLING that people would think to blame you for this, especially when developing a game is COMPLICATED, especially one that's multiplayer like this. Hang in there mate.

I have yet to see the official servers crash (This is the main reason I play them over community servers most days)
Occasionally there is this glitch that will kick you from the game minutes after joining, but that has more to do with your internet connection and overall computer latency than the servers themselves so it's not really an issue for most players, and even for players who do experience it, it has become much less common since the introduction of the "entry que" for players when a server is full.
You asked for confirmation, here it is. Honestly since I've only ever played the officials since evrima came out because evrima is still an open beta and in my mind I expected that on the officalls, when a bug popped up there would be a higher chance of a dev or admin logging on to fix it on the official servers than community ones.
because of this I had no idea this was a problem or that so many people we're experiencing so much negativity and hate for something they simply cannot control, I'm glad you covered this issue at the start of the video.

We live in a "population: me" society. We've gotten so spoiled rotten, we expect things to be handed to us immediately and have people fix things and have people bark at our every beck and call. It's as sad as it is maddening. I don't play the game but I've seen your Subnautica videos which just refuels my desire to replay them and to add mods to make things even better. I love your personality and your videos are entertaining. Those that are giving you so much hate, just give them the middle finger and keep doing you.

Hope your concerns are heard Anth, can be extremely tough having to deal with issues that you have no control over. From a programmer/developer point of view, I’d like to share that UE5 in general has been presenting many new problems that are making fixes and working difficult, especially for multiplayer. One of the reasons server stability was such an issue at 125 players before was because of that and so they kept it at 100. Hopeful Unreal Engine (or Filipe since he’s been doing some remarkable things) addresses the issue and releases a patch.

I get being frustrated about the server issues like it’s been happening to me and I get a little ticked but then I think it’s just a server issue and rejoin or take a break I don’t see why people go and attack someone for something ppl can’t help

Its unfortunate our staff team is being harassed for somethin we cannot control, we are people too and while i am not bothered by it (having 7 years in fast food) some people have been more affected by it.
Hopefully the devs will put more effort into fixing our crashes

No anger here. As a new player, for the last week, I both love this game AND this community. I fully understand what's going on, and I have nothing but patience. Thank you for everything you and the staff and the community do! - Mirikal, Stego/Teno main. Official servers are crashing too, have suffered full database loss and it is evident that it is a developer/codebase issue.

I don't hop on very often but when I do it's always one of your servers Anth, I especially like getting on early when it's not overly crowded and get in some semi peaceful growing in. I have yet to run into you but that's most likely because at night I'm in bed because parenting is draining. I appreciate that you and the crew are doing your best to keep things rolling. Thank you for being an awesome content creator I've been watching you since legacy days and you've helped me out a lot making me laugh and making my day. it is sad to see how little the isle has moved forward considering the time frame that they have had. I figured there would have been a lot more by now tbh.
But regardless I will still be a loyal fan and continue to play the game, I just wish they would kinda pick up the pase a lil bit lol

I had no idea these things were going on. I'm sorry to hear that. People get frustrated very easily these days. Please, don't take anything they say personally! I can imagine it's hard, but it's a must, otherwise we hurt for something that's not even our fault and that's not good for our health. Hang in there, it will get better soon! :)

We've run through major server issues with The Isle recently and we're just waiting for a patch. Community servers need support above all, They are the back bone of friends who play games like this together. Please remember Afterthought is a small company and they are doing their best to fix this stuff while creating more for us in the future, These things happen sometimes just don't take your anger out on them or server hosts, Patience is key. F&@k the server impersonators though. Ultimately i'm jumping into this to hopefully avoid a mass community movement in place of peace and time.
