The visual aspect and color palette of the film in general is very good, but when Mothra appears it is excellent, it is beautiful at all times

I didnât like this theme at first but after seeing the movie itâs beginning to grow on me. I only wish it was the actual Mothra leitmotif instead of a weird soundalike, just like Godzillaâs theme. Those original themes in Junkieâs style could work really well IMO, but he just refuses to do them for some stupid reason about them ânot fitting a modern filmâ or whatever.

I love the original Mothra theme, I love Bear McCrearyâs rendition of the theme. I also love Michiru Oshimaâs theme for Mothra for Tokyo SOS, itâs different but it fits her character.
This theme for Mothra fits the character, itâs regal and majestic as the Queen deserves. Just like the new Godzilla theme is powerful and loud, and Kongâs is heroic.
I donât get why people say itâs a bad score. Disappointing sure, worth a listen outside of the movies themselves? Probably not. But they fit the monster action very well.

The only real problem that I have with Mothra's inclusion in Godzilla X Kong is that she doesn't get to do much (which makes sense since she was originally some bird and they had to put her model over it in the last minute). Either way I'm not angry, at least she got a chance to be in the movie and hopefully she'll get to contribute to the plot even more.. maybe even her own solo movie.

I wouldnt be opposed to giving her a new ost that takes like, 30% from this and 70% from the original to make an interesting mix

I honestly feel like Mothra was underutilized in this movie. She had like only 2 minutes of screentime here compared to the 6 minutes of screentime of KOTM, and did even less here than KOTM. She felt kinda shoehorned in GxK and felt like she didnât matter. She didnât even participate in the final battle, where in KOTM she did and was a crucial part in the movie and in the final fight, unlike in GxK. And the new theme by Junkie XL really doesnât help, souring even more her barely there presence. Donât get me wrong, Iâm happy she is back, but she did more in KOTM where she felt like a crucial part to the story unlike GxK.
