the lyrical message of ‘TIME 2’ ended up shocking us in a very prophetic way… the song speaks about waking up in the chaos of life & remembering a child-like state of mind. it calls to reset, & return to the beginning. the moment we finished writing the song, the world was subdued into a global time-out. production on the song, along with everything else, came to a standstill. a year has passed, & now in May 2021 we find ourselves looking down at the lyrics in awe...

notice how one of the band members is wearing a chain necklace & not happy in different parts of the video. the chain necklace represents adulthood. when they’re not wearing it, they’re happy. this whole video is happy & fun just like childhood. they’re tired of fighting the constant :)

I couldnt understand what this song was about when I first heard it. It wasnt until earlier this year, while visiting a place I haven't been in for almost 5 years, that I finally took in the lyrics full force and started to sob. It unlocked so many extra memories when I was a child, when I wanted nothing more than to live my own fantasy with my friends and family. Ive always been so afraid to go out and experience the world, move away from my parents, find my own career path in life, etc., and its partially because part of me still feels like a kid, like I haven't moved on to the next step and instead I'm just stuck in this in-between limbo of my childhood and my future.. Even though I just turned 20, its hard not to still feel like the runt of the litter, but to experience it all again one last time might be a push for me to finally decide "I'm waking up, it's time to grow."

Seeing all those great match cuts makes the fledgling cinematographer part of my brain kick into overdrive, what a fantastic music video and absolutely great music! the whole setting of this video actually reminds me of an art installation/collective near me called Meow Wolf, its uncanny how much the tone matches.
