Hendrik really made it his mission to pronounce it exactly the way you would say it in german, as if you didn't know it's a non-german name. :D

2:17 "I know his face, but not the name"

Meanwhile my brain: "I know her face, but I don't know her name" "I know movie, but I don't know MOVIE name"

I love that the French girl said that she is from Paris, because being from Paris is different to being from the rest of France... Same goes if you are from Berlin or from the rest of Germany

In Germany we always pronounce it like what the actual language pronounces it like but I think Hendrik makes it sound like how the names would sound with a German pronunciation.

As a Nigerian learning German, it's well documented that articles and adjective declinations are a pain, what I really like is how in German you pronounce each letter in every word and the pronunciations never change. So I never have to guess how a word is pronounced. I see a new word and I immediately know how to pronounce it. Also helps me learn to how spell a new word easily after hearing it for the first time. Ok that's enough YouTube, I'm going back to practice my der die das die and German Grammer.

Hendrik might be a bit over the top here :'D cause most Germans will pronounce such names quite english I'd say, at least that's what I think they would. The German language has gotten more and more english into it :D

Hendrik gives me "Alman"-vibes. Thats a humorous concept in Germany for being "super stereotypical german" 😂

The first pronounciation is what an Austrian would use for Schwarzenegger. The second one is what an Austrian would use when pretending to be Northern German. :-D

BIBI is proving to me that French accents and the language is very romantic and it’s making me want to pick up the language again. Hendrick is also making me want to learn German🤗🤗

Wait.. Is the task to read it how each country actually pronounces these names or how we'd pronounce it if we assumed it was a name in our language? Because I think everyone else does it the first way, except for Hendrik who seems to want to sound as stubbornly German as he possibly can even though we don't say the names like that at all :D

Seyfried is also a German name.
Nothing more satisfying than hearing a name or word being pronounced in it's source language. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to linguistics as it is a hobby of mine. I like to hear it said in the original tongue.

Where I’m from, we call Arnold Schwarzenegger “Arnold Susahnakeja”. We put a spin using our own language into his last name, which literally means ‘difficult to spell’.
