About HATERS and BULLIES If you chose to pontificate on the dos and don’ts of a revered artist, you should be prepared for the heat. You think you can criticise Dimash relentlessly in one video for no good reason, but call commentators, who take objection to your views, HATERS, and pillory them? You should learn to distinguish between criticism and hate speech. Still, the title of your video (Lip-sync, Fake Performance) should have been a trigger warning. The graph only shows that I, like others, have watched this song so many times since its release before we happened upon your negative reaction so that I didn’t need to verify again and again if he strained his neck or lip-synced authentically enough. We all noticed his calm and stylised performance and we all scrutinise his every utterance and move (obligatoire – Dimash, like Freddie Mercury, is an artist you want to watch perform, not just listen to). So, by the middle of the video, your gratuitous assault on Dimash got VERY annoying. For me there’s something incongruous about your criticism of a bona fide world class artist of the likes we haven’t seen before, despite his young age. And he got there without you…So the graph naturally declines in the second half since fans don’t like to listen to having their icon taken down – it’s not because I didn’t bother to listen to it. It’s a song of late that I adore and I’ve watched regularly, just not on your channel. So much for the premise of your 'analytical' graph. You are also showing surprising naivité over Chinese regulations for artists performing on TV and in contests and, moreover, arrogance, to impute that Dimash should/could/would use his fame or popularity to bend Chinese rules. This reveals a big gap in your comprehension of the close bond between Dimash, China and those millions and millions of Dears who launched his world fame. He's much too respectful, humble and gracious to abuse that bond. What he certainly can’t do is edit an official CCTV release !!! Do you expect him to justify his every performance??? Should we expect him to provide a separate video in which he explains the exact context. Surely, he is not obliged to label his video releases and indicate if they’re autotuned, lip synced, studio etc. However he does it, he never disappoints. If you pay for a concert, you get live Dimash, full stop. To my imperfect knowledge, Dudarai was performed before a live audience on CCTV1, and regulations forbid lip syncing. In the video one can also catch glimpses of the rest of the orchestra and the audience. However, it is not my job to spoon feed relevant information to reactors. And expertise cannot be based on supposition because even if you reiterate your respect and love for Dimash, it is still peppered with your scathing criticism. I am sorry I triggered your defences and you felt you had to provide proof of your expertise. But just because you're a vocal coach and happened upon a "studio" video of Dimash's - whose fault is that ? - certainly not a misleading stratagem by Dimash!!! You could have simple decided not to 'analyse' because it wasn't in your line of expertise. What really got me in your rant about Dimash’s “lip-synced travesty” were the stabs at his allegedly pushy ‘coercive’ management team, his tendency to overdo it and overstep the limits of his capacity, to spend his voice unnecessarily, and how you want to save him from an early demise due to his evolving performance practices (paraphrasing here). Are you angling for a consultancy position on his team? Just wondering. We are dealing here with the world’s most qualified, uncompromising, humble artist, who has skirted the global music industry to prevail among sharks and still spread his music and message … his way… not shackled by his team or industry dicta or driven by limitless ambition; just driven by his love for music and his special gift he wants to share with the world (and generously supported by his Dears). He also knows to whom he owes his loyalty and who truly loves him – his producers/parents, teachers and friends, not to forget China, which is why it’s one of his priority performance venues. It does not behoove any of us, reactors included, to tell him what to do or to question his choices. What is evident is his integrity and his humility, as well as his boundless energy. Generations of young and old fans/singers/musicians/coaches find inspiration in Dimash. He has already revolutionised voice training and shown what a human voice can do, and created a new musical genre. Do you really think he doesn’t know how to take care of himself and his voice? Concerning Dudarai, Dimash's performance was flawless, not a word mal-synced or a beat missed, presenting two distinct styles to perfection with a novel jazzy composition that promises future revelations. You have chosen to call me out publicly on the cover of your video. FYI, I’m not some frivolous, gung-ho dude or wide-eyed Dear lost in admiration, but a woman with a broad spectrum of long-term musical exposure and immersion who hails from the city of Mozart. Reactors should not preach from a bully pulpit enabled by and paid for in public subscriptions. Your expertise does not give you authority to bear down on the criticism of what you seemingly presume to be clueless commentators. 🙏 PS Reactors serve their purpose - as entertainment. Most use artists for a first or secondary income stream - fair enough. But monetised fandom somehow cheapens it and invites disingenuousness. Some (of the many) excellent voice teachers edify Dimash’s sophisticated vocal techniques, though I have yet to find one who could improve upon them. Most just revel in seeing sophisticated music theory performed to perfection.

I am one of those who watched the previous video to the end (I don’t know why). For all 14 minutes you repeated the same thing, although no one argued with you and you did not refute anyone. I don't doubt your competence. And what you said could well have been mentioned; your opinion as a specialist is of interest. But to whom, what and why were you trying to prove, if this is the format of a TV program. It wasn't a concert. And note that what we listened to was sung by Dimash in any case. It was VERY strange that you did not consider it necessary to say anything about the new interpretation, about the performance. It was clear that you were not interested in this at all. In the most interesting places, it was clear from your face that you weren’t even listening to them.

All Dears know that Dimash sometimes take a part in programs and shows where lipsync is prescribed according to the content of the show, or the studios are simply such that there are no opportunities for live performance and all singers use phonograms, this is not a discovery or a surprise. The surprise was, however, that you focused on so-called proving what everyone already knows, instead of seeing the true nature of the song, where Dimash first used such a jazz funk style in a folk song.

Right! This is my third installment, but youtube bloggers should learn some respect. To the person on whom they try to earn, and to his fandom, who help them reach their goal. I saw the video of Dudarai on Di's channel like ten times! No desynchronization! None whatsoever! I thought that was just me doing some trick😁, H being a pro and me not so much. But I've been working in a TV station for more than twenty years and I know how these shows are done. Then we saw pictures of Di rehearsing or recording the previous day, most probably recording, he was in the same blue suit. I said to myself, right, this will be quite a complex tv show, they need pre-recordings, which it was. I saw the whole tv show, so I know it was. I tried to explain that to H, but it all went to deaf ears. All he wanted was hype, albeit negative. Not the first reactionist of this kind, won't be the last! H never got it that the Dears love Dimash for his integrity and his humanitarianism, for his wisdom and humility as much (if not more) as for his outworldly voice, and will always fight for him. H just tried to humiliate the wrong person, not that humilation should be ever accepted!

A bit of perspective... When i see a live Dimash performance on YouTube, I've come to EXPECT to be dazzled . When he doesn't bring the ultimate, over the top, vocal gymnastics I've seen previously, my initial reaction is disappointment. As if he promised me something and didn't deliver. We are so thrilled that he has come into our lives, we start to take him for granted. But who am I? and frankly HOW DARE I think he owes me (or any of us) ANYTHING. I need to remember that he is human, and the vocal spectacle that he delivers is surely the best he is able or allowed to given the circumstances. I can't imagine him ever "phoning it in" willingly. While we recognize that lip syncing is far beneath what we have come to expect from Dimash, we might consider how little we know of what's going on prior to ANY performance So lets all step back take a deep breath and be kind to each other. And to Dimash.

And again - not a word mentioned that this was a pre-recorded, post-produced and edited event tv program. Dimash was recorded the previous day, we saw that. What happened during the editing we don't know, but it wasn't great. If H knew that, then he did his previous video intentionally, just to diss Dimash. If he didn't, but read about it in our comments and prefers not to mention it, then again he does that intentionally, because every singer now and then participates in tv shows with a song or two. Sometimes it's just a jesture of good will. If H doesn't like these kind of performances, why comment on them, with titles in BIG RED LETTERS and false accusations. Some people are sued for this and there is a lot said in this tirade of a video that calls for it. In this video he showed his music diplomas but not his diploma of a shrink, yet he dared some very bold psychoanalyses, even said he was afraid for D's mental health! Well, what could I say, what could anyone say! I think H just crossed the line!

I did not bother to watch the clip but people forgot Dimash is an entertainer. You expect him to sing everything live for you for your you tube reactions. Ive been following Dimash for the last 4-5 years. Ive seen him grown up, improving, improvising and everything to do with his growth into international stardom. And what these "coaches" have been doing all these years? Still on you tube.

Using the word “fake” in the title to your video is what was offensive. It wasn’t against your saying he lip synced. It was using the word “FAKE”. There are so many reactors that love to try to make Dimash into a “fake” I always respected your reactions to Dimash My concern is with the word “fake”. It seems extreme.

Perhaps there is a justification for the mocking reaction too? The thing is that even with the title of the video, you contributed to the propaganda that the haters carry. Whether you like it or not, this is true. Besides, your suspicions are unfounded, the fact that things didn't match doesn't mean that he didn't sing live. At least you should know that things are processed on television.even if that was lyp sync your reaction was disgusting. I'm not going to watch this video, especially since you don't even understand what the problem was in your previous video. It is a bit embarrassing for a professional of your level to evaluate Dimash. (By the way, I'm not just thinking this now, I used to think the same thing, as well as many others who are on YouTube as "vocal teachers". As for the basis for saying this, I myself have a bachelor's degree in musicology and completed the Bel Canto course, if you are very interested, I can send you my thesis, maybe you will learn something)

Dimash got started into international fame in China...overnight...and is very thankful to his Chinese counterparts and fans for their very applauding response to a foreigner. And so he enjoys their company, and is not just keeping up appearances for the good of his career, but he is spreading the love. I believe that that song Dudarau was at a concert in conjunction with the Panda Movie Awards concert and may have been part of that celebration. And so, he would have conformed to their practices where possible. Just prior to Dudarau, he was in an interview on stage where he also vocalised to an orchestra and concert pianist, in a very short but beautiful display of his frequencies. It is normal in Russian cultural concerts to prerecord whole concerts, and so we sometimes see or suspect that this is what is going on. Apparently they do not like to have anything breakdown in their shows, and we have seen this even when Igor is involved at times. So I suspect that this may also be the case at times in China. We know that he can do everything that is required and more, and most of us just enjoy everything, as we watch them over and over with various reactors, and sometimes get a bit browned off as reactions spoil the atmosphere, and we do not mind the idiosynchracies. No doubt, you have days or songs that affect you like that. Personally, this was a first go at a full jazz type song and mixed into culture which he openly says to the Chinese audience, that he is trying to bring cultures together. As you know, he studied jazz amonst his qualifications, and we have seen little bits of aspects of it in some songs, to our great delight. So to have a longer song of it is a very pleasant experience for us all, and we aren't looking at it with your understanding and preferences. To most of us, it was super, and we want more....and the audience did not mind it either. You cannot really bring these two attitudes together here anymore than you can demand your newborn to walk. Some things take time and have to be overlooked while being enjoyed...such is life. Dimash is only at the beginning of a huge ongoing career and life experience that will leave this world in a better place when his time is up....in 500 years or so, or maybe 1000. Who knows how long we will live in our new 5th Dimensional world. He is preparing us, tempering us, for what will be unknown experiences in terms of mankinds future development in every area of life and living. As soon as the corrupted governments are fully dispensed of, very soon now, we will enter into the unknown, and perhaps we will all have exceptional talents and abilities and super long lives, and dreams that actually come true. In the meantime, we all have to raise our frequencies/vibrations to move into the new dimension, and leave stuff behind that does not fit with what is coming. It is a matter of choice whether you move up or stay in this 3 dimensional world and carry on around the mountain. But the two dimensions will not mix. So keep on moving up...foster love...open minds...believe in dreams...everything positive..nothing is impossible!!

I'm so sorry about the kind of comments you've received from Dimash fans. You're a certified professional in the field, and not actively harming Dimash by being honest about lip syncing or pitch correction. Dunning Kruger is in full throttle in the comments, and they're taking the fact that he's not a perfect robot offensively.
